A small sampling of the Barbie clothes I now own. I have two more boxes that you can't see in this picture....
Some Christmas Box replacements of old outfits I once had (or ones that're stored away, in tatters, in my box of old Barbie stuff), including the hot-pink Beauty Secrets Barbie ensemble, the paler Pretty in Pink outfit, and, especially, the Pretty Changes Barbie yellow satin jumpsuit with matching hat and shawl/hostess skirt.
A studly Dreamsicle of a gown, originally belonging, oddly enough, to Peaches 'N Cream Barbie....
A couple of the gorgeous handmade outfits in my Christmas Box.
The teen Barbies modeling some of last generation's gear (thanks to my Christmas Box)... and dig Teen Ken tryin' to pick up on Blaine....
The few Barbie clothes of mine that survived until now.
The pink dress in the middle was a Superstar Barbie gown... it used to be hot pink, and came with a sparkly boa. The turquoise dress on the right came with a Quick Curl Barbie from the early 70s. I never owned the doll, but my baby-sitter gave me the dress. I usually used the wedding dress on the left as a Victorian dress-up frock, not an actual wedding gown. I still have the bouquet that came with it, too (those yellow flowers there). And then there's the Roller Disco outfit... the "flying wheels" t-shirt, windbreaker, and the pegged jeans to go with the knee-high boots. And, of course, there's Vanessa's Slutty Disco Outfit.
Face it... there are some totally ker-nifty Barbie clothes on the market these days....
But lest you think I'm just all into store-bought stuff now...
These are a couple of the pioneer-type dresses I've made.... The one on the left is the one I finally made with that blue pink-flowered flannel.
